About This Office:
The Pennsylvania Administrative Office of PA Courts is responsible for assisting the court in operating the Pennsylvania court system. Some of the departments overseen by the Administrative Office of the PA Courts includes: judicial education and services, judicial programs, judicial automation and security, finance, human resources, legal and legislative affairs.
Court Records At This Office:
Access to Pennsylvania court records may be requested through the appropriate Magisterial District Courts, Municipal Court, the Court of Common Pleas and the Appellate Courts. Requests for official case records must be made through the appropriate county courts.
Access To Pennsylvania Court Records:
The Pennsylvania court system includes magisterial district, municipal and traffic courts whose cases are small claims and minor crimes. The 60 common pleas courts hold civil and criminal case trials, with a higher jurisdiction by appellate, superior, and commonwealth courts; the state Supreme Court has the highest jurisdiction. The Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts (AOPC) oversees all judicial matters and is responsible for court records and the online docket sheet Magisterial District Judge Case Management System (MDJS).
