The Indiana Administrative Director of the Courts maintains the systems that keep Indiana court records available. Supreme Court orders, opinions, case information, transfer dispositions, and other decisions are a matter of public record. Court of Appeals case information, opinions, and other decisions are also available, as are Tax Court case information, opinions, and other decisions. Trial court case information; criminal and citation case records; and civil, family, and probate case records are also easily obtained.

Except for the online research capabilities described below, all court record access must be done at the local level.

Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, and Tax Court opinions and other decisions are online at www.in.gov/judiciary/opinions/. Appellate case information for the Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, and Tax Court are on the Online Docket at http://hats2.courts.state.in.us/ISC3RUS/ISC2menu.jsp. Supreme Court transfer dispositions are available at www.in.gov/judiciary/opinions/transfer/. Supreme Court orders are found at www.in.gov/judiciary/orders/. Trial court case information is at http://mycase.in.gov/. All online systems are administered by the Indiana Administrative Director of the Courts.
Any member of the public may search these records online and in person for free. There is a copying charge for mailed documents.
The online archive begins in 2001. Earlier records must be viewed in person at the Supreme Court Law Library and other state law libraries.
