Where To Access Criminal Records In Arkansas
About This Office:
The Arkansas State Police (ASP) was started in 1935 and is a statewide police agency that oversees the Highway Patrol, Criminal Investigation Division, Crimes Against Children Division and the Highway Safety Office. The ASP is also responsible for housing criminal records.
Criminal Records At This Office:
Individuals may request their own criminal record by filling out a form and mailing it with $25. Although it’s a name-based search, the database is organized so that all names are linked by corresponding fingerprints, meaning searches will turn up any names associated with a set of fingerprints. Approved employment agencies may request criminal background checks (with permission from the individual) through the ASP online system, which costs $22 per name.
Access To Arkansas Criminal Records:
Arkansas criminal records include felony and misdemeanor convictions, pending Arkansas felony arrests within the past three years, and whether a person is a registered sex offender. Only law enforcement agencies can obtain records for pending misdemeanor charges and arrests for cases that were dismissed or acquitted.
How To Lookup Inmate & Incarceration Records In Arkansas
About This Office:
The ADC (Arkansas Department of Corrections) is responsible for overseeing the prison population in Arkansas and ensuring that each prison is safe for both staff and inmates. ADC has programs for inmates to help them assimilate back into society and provides opportunities for spiritual and mental improvement.
Inmate Records At This Office:
Arkansas inmate lookup is performed through the ADC website via the inmate search page. You can search by inmate identification number (DC number) only, or if unknown, you can also search by any combination of last and first name, gender, race, offense committed and specific prison. You can even choose to search inmates with a photo in their records.
Access To Arkansas Inmate Records:
ADC allows the public to access inmate information that includes where a prisoner is incarcerated and for what offense(s), what an inmate’s projected release date is, their current status and when they get transferred. Inmate records are updated regularly, but if a transfer occurs suddenly, for example, the records might not be immediately updated for the public.
