How To Lookup Inmate & Incarceration Records In Vermont

Vermont Department of Corrections

About This Office:

The Vermont Department of Corrections (DOC) oversees eight correctional facilities, including one work camp for the state. The DOC holds offenders accountable for their actions and teach them work and life skills that will enable them to rehabilitate and assimilate back into society at the close of their sentence.

Inmate Records At This Office:

Vermont inmate lookup is done online through DOC and through VINE (Victim Information and Notification Everyday). The DOC allows you to search by name and learn basic biographical and physical information plus the custody status and location. VINE allows the public and victims to learn status and location, but will also notify victims who register when an inmate’s status changes. VINE can be accessed online or by phone.

Access To Vermont Inmate Records:

Inmate records are available through DOC, but are limited in nature for the public and for victims. Vermont inmate lookup will return information including name, offender ID number, date of birth, age, race, gender, custody status and location of incarceration. Conviction information must be obtained through the court system.
