About This Office:
The Criminal Justice Information Section is overseen by the Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) and includes the criminal records unit. DCI also maintains the Computerized Criminal History (CCH) system, concealed firearm permits and the sex offender registry.

Individuals must be fingerprinted at their local law enforcement agency or at DCI in order to request criminal records. DCI charges a $5 fee for fingerprinting and $15 for the criminal records search. Individuals complying with an employer’s request for a criminal records request must sign the waiver portion of the request form and have it notarized.

Wyoming criminal records are considered public information in that individuals may request personal criminal records and distribute those records to anyone. Wyoming criminal records consist of arrests and convictions for felonies and misdemeanors. However, since Wyoming is part of WIN (Western Identification Network), criminal records are checked in Idaho, Alaska, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Montana and Washington.
