I can’t sign into my account. What do I do?

To sign in, enter the email address and password you registered with into the respective login and password fields. (You can check if you are already signed in by looking in the upper right hand corner of our website. You’ll see your name if you are signed in.)

If you've forgotten your password, please enter your email address on the Password Reset page. You’ll receive an email with your password reminder and sign-in instructions.

If you're still having trouble with your login, please submit a ticket to our customer support department and we'll get to the bottom of it.

Forgot my password. How do I reset it?

If you've forgotten your password, please enter your email address on the Password Reset page. Enter the email address you used when creating your account and click "Reset Password". We'll send you an email with instructions on how to reset your password.

If you're still having trouble with your login, please submit a ticket to our customer support department and we'll get to the bottom of it.

How do I change my password and login credentials?

To change your email or password, sign in, go to the "My Account" section , which can be found from the dropdown menu under your name in the top right corner. Then select "Settings", where you can update or change your email or password.

How do I change my billing options or cancel my trial or membership?

You can manage your subscriptions when you are signed into your account. Sign in and select "My Account" which is listed under your name in the top right corner of the site. On the "My Account" page, select "Membership", and then select "Cancel Membership", where you can follow the cancellation prompt. If you have more than one type of subscription, you will need to manage each one individually.

How do I remove or change the information that appears about me on PeopleSmart?

We take your privacy very seriously. To be removed from our directory or manage your listing, please use our simple opt-out request form. For further resources on how to protect your online identity, visit Identity.com, which is PeopleSmart’s sister site and an identity management tool that helps you control your personal data and manage your credibility online.

How do I contact customer support?

We can be reached via email at support@peoplesmart.com. We are available between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM CST, Monday through Friday. Any one of our Member Service Representatives will be happy to assist you.

Where can I find my report?

We save your purchased reports and you can access them at any time. To view the reports, you will need to sign into your account. To sign in, please click here.

Once you are signed in, click on your name in the upper right hand corner of the screen. From the drop down menu, choose "My Activity." On the next screen, click on "Saved Reports." On this page, you will see a list of all the reports that you have purchased. To open a report, simply click on it.

Once you open the report, you can save it to your computer or print it by using the save or print buttons in the Adobe Acrobat window that opens the report.

Still unable to find your report? Please check your email, the account process may have not be created properly. If the account was not created properly, we will be sending you an email to help finish your sign up process.

How do I change or update my payment?

To update your payment information, please follow the instructions below:

Desktop or Laptop

  1. Log into your account here
  2. Click on your name in the upper right hand corner of the screen
  3. Click on My Account
  4. Go to Payment Methods
  5. Click on the box that says "Add New Payment Method"
  6. Select add Paypal account or add new credit/debit card option

To avoid any disruption in billing, after you have added the new payment method, please click on the link that says "Make Primary" and then check the box that says "Apply this payment method to my recurring subscriptions." You will then be able to remove the old payment method from your account.

Mobile Device

  1. Log into your account here
  2. Click on the menu Menu in the upper right hand corner of the screen
  3. Click on My Account
  4. Go to Payment Methods
  5. Click on the box that says "Add New Payment Method"

Why is my password not being accepted?

When selecting a password it must meet a certain criteria or it will not allow you to continue. A password must be at least 8 characters long and contain a capital letter, a number, and a symbol.

How do I search?

To conduct a search, log onto the site using your Username and Password. Once you are signed in, click on your name located at the top of the page in the upper right hand corner and select "All Searches." Select the type of search you would like to perform. We have listed the types of searches that are available on our website below:

  • People Search - when you know the person’s name
  • Work Information - when you need professional contact listing information
  • Reverse Phone - when you have a phone number and need to know the owner
  • Email Search - when you have an email address and need to know the owner
  • Search by Address - when you know an address and want to know who lived there
  • Vital Records - when you want information about birth, death, marriage, or divorce records
  • Court Records - when you want to search for an individual’s criminal records

Different options will be available depending on the type of membership that you have.

We do have an advanced search option that you may find helpful. Our home page gives you several choices when doing your search. One of the choices is More. The More option will take you to a page where you can select Find people. The Advanced Search option is located under the city, state field. It allows you to narrow your search by birth month, birth day, birth year, age range or even a current or previous address.

I am having technical issues

From time to time it may be necessary to clear your web browser’s history, also known as cache and cookies. It sounds like this may fix the issue you are experiencing.

Here are some instructions on how to clear your browser history for two popular browsers:

To clear Chrome cache:

  1. Open up the menu in the top right and select Settings
  2. On the left side menu, select History
  3. Click on Clear Browsing Data and you will see a pop up
  4. Select the specified time and make sure that Browsing History and Cached Images and Files are are selected. Finally, click on Clear Browsing Data

To clear Internet Explorer’s cache:

  1. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options. The Internet Options box should open to the General tab
  2. On the General tab, in the Temporary Internet Files section, click the Delete Files button. This will delete all the files that are currently stored in your cache
  3. Close your browser and open it again. Then check to see if the results still show

To clear Firefox’s cache:

  1. At the top of the Firefox window, on the menu bar, click on the ‘Tools’ menu
  2. Select the ‘Clear Recent History’ option
  3. Select ‘Everything’ from the ‘Time range to clear’ drop-down box
  4. Click the ‘Clear Now’ button
  5. Close your browser and open it again

How accurate is your information?

PeopleSmart gathers information from many different sources including public records, surveys, court houses, and much more. Unfortunately some information is entered manually by the sources or has not been updated recently which may lead to some inaccuracies. We do not own the information and we are not able to change it in anyway. PeopleSmart strives to keep the information up to date and we continually evaluate our data providers to bring you the most up to date and accurate information. Although we cannot guarantee the accuracy of the information, you are able to remove your listing from our site by submitting an opt-out request.

PeopleSmart is not a Consumer Reporting Agency, and thus cannot be used for purposes that require FCRA compliance. If you are searching for consumer reports to make a decision related to employment, credit, housing, insurance, or benefits eligibility, please find an FCRA-compliant resource. How do I cancel my membership?

Cancelling your membership will prevent any future billing. You will still have access to your membership features until your subscription expires.

When you sign up for recurring membership. If you would like to prevent further billing for a membership you can do so by following the instructions below:

  4. Follow the prompts on the page to cancel
