Retrieving Records

The California Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation (CDCR) maintains an online Inmate Locator on its website. Members of the public may use this database for their own safety and welfare, but the CDCR advises that this database is only for informational purposes. Inmates may be located by name, CDCR number, age, or admission date. Victims may request notification of the release, escape, or death of an inmate by calling the Victim and Survivor Rights and Services Department at 877-256-6877.
