Retrieving Records

The Connecticut Department of Correction (CT DOC) maintains information about the inmates in its system in its online database. Members of the general public can search for inmates by CT DOC number, name, and date of birth. Information on juvenile offenders and offenders held on behalf of U.S. Immigration and Customs is not available online. The CT DOC cautions that an incarceration record is not necessarily an indication that an inmate has been convicted of a crime.
