Retrieving Records

Members of the public can search for incarceration records online through the Georgia Department of Corrections’ Offender Search database. Users may search by Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC) identification number or may perform an advanced search to find incarcerated offenders by name or alias, age, gender, height, and other physical criteria. Database users may also search incarceration records by the inmate’s sentence, primary offense, most recent institution, county of conviction, and custody status.

The Georgia Department of Corrections’ Offender Search database is provided as a public service at no charge to members of the public or law enforcement agents.

Years Available

The Georgia Department of Corrections Offender Search database includes records of active offenders, or those who are currently incarcerated, and inactive offenders, or those who are not currently incarcerated. Records are updated on a regular basis but may not be current at the time of search.
