The Indiana Department of Correction (IDOC) maintains an online Inmate Locator on its website. Law enforcement agents or members of the public may search for incarcerated offenders by name or by offender number. The IDOC also keeps a Sex and Violent Offender Registry. Crime victims and their families can access the IDOC automated victim notification system: Indiana SAVIN (Statewide Automated Victim Information & Notification). The Indiana SAVIN program is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Law enforcement agencies and citizens in the general public may search for incarceration records on the Indiana Department of Correction database at no charge.
Inmate records for currently incarcerated offenders are available online through the IDOC Inmate Locator database. The inmate’s custody status and release date are part of the incarceration record.
