Records Available:

Inmate records are available to the public to give individuals access to the inmates' public records. KDOC provides access to physical identifiers, such as race, gender, date of birth and a photo, along with county of conviction, description of offenses committed, status, where inmate is incarcerated, release date and sentence information, and when an inmate is released on parole.

Retrieving Records

The Kansas Department of Corrections (KDOC) makes inmate records available to citizens in the interest of public safety. Incarceration records are available online through the Kansas Adult Supervised Population Electronic Repository’s database. Members of the general public may search the database by inmate name, alias, birth date or age range, KDOC ID number, Social Security number, race, or gender. Website users may also search for records by conviction county, parole supervision county, or facility.

Cost

The Kansas Department of Corrections’ Offender Search database is provided as a service to the public and is available to citizens at no charge.

Years Available

Records of inmates who are currently incarcerated in the Kansas Department of Corrections system are available on its database. The inmate’s projected release date is provided as part of the record.
