Access to Kentucky Court Records

Retrieving Records

The Kentucky Department of Corrections provides access to the state’s incarceration records through its online database. Members of the general public may use the Kentucky Online Offender Lookup (KOOL) system to find inmates by Kentucky Department of Corrections ID, name, institution, age, race, or gender. Website users may also refine their search by conviction information. The KOOL system allows citizens to search an archive of Death Row inmates as well as the general inmate population.

Cost

The Kentucky Department of Corrections does not charge a fee for the use of the KOOL system. This free online service is provided in the interest of public safety.

Years Available

The Kentucky Online Offender Lookup (KOOL) system provides access to an archive of currently incarcerated offenders and inmates on Death Row. Information is updated regularly, but its timeliness is not guaranteed.
