Retrieving Records

The Montana Department of Corrections offers access to incarceration records through its online Correctional Offender Network (CON). The network includes information on offenders who are currently under the jurisdiction of the Montana Department of Corrections. Any member of the public may search for incarceration records by entering the Department of Corrections ID number or the offender’s name and year of birth. Database users may refine their search by sex, race, or activity status. Victims may receive notification of changes in an offender’s status by registering with the department’s victim notification service.

Cost

The Montana Department of Corrections online database is available to the general public at no charge. There is no cost to victims to register for the department’s victim notification service.

Years Available

The Montana Department of Corrections maintains records of offenders who are currently under the department’s jurisdiction. Information is updated regularly, but records may not be up-to-date at the time of search.
