Access to South Carolina Court Records
The South Carolina Department of Corrections (SCDC) provides online access to public information about the offenders housed in its facilities. Information on parolees, probationers, offenders who are under community supervision, and fugitives is not included in the online records. Incarcerated juvenile offenders are also excluded. In addition to its online Inmate Search feature, the South Carolina Department of Corrections offers a toll-free inmate information line: 877-846-3472. Both the online database and the inmate information line are available to any interested party.
The South Carolina Department of Corrections Inmate Search database and the toll-free inmate information number are offered as a public service. Individuals using either of these services are not charged.
Information about inmates who are currently incarcerated in an institution of the SCDC is available online. The SCDC does not guarantee the timeliness of its online records.
