Retrieving Records

The Wisconsin Department of Corrections online Offender Locator includes public information about offenders under the jurisdiction of the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. Any interested party may search for incarceration records. Records are retrievable by inmate name or identification number. An offender search may be refined by birth date, race, gender, age range, address, or activity status. The online search can be restricted to registered sex offenders. Victims may register for notification services by contacting the department’s Office of Victim Services and Programs.

Anyone may search the records in the Wisconsin Department of Corrections online database at no charge. The Office of Victim Services and Programs does not charge a fee for notification services.

Years Available

The records in the Wisconsin Department of Corrections online database are limited to convicted offenders who have been sentenced to incarceration or supervision. While the information in the database is updated regularly, it may not be current at the time of search.
