Macoupin Circuit Court holds public records for misdemeanor, civil actions, eviction, small claims cases. The court does not release adoption, juvenile, medical, probation or sealed records. One can search records by mail, in person, or online. Search criteria are name and years to search; the date of birth is helpful. The search fee is $16 and $20 for the non-fingerprint search and the fingerprint search respectively. All hardcopies of the records are destroyed after ten years.
