    Wake County Superior-District Court has jurisdiction over Civil, Small Claims, Misdemeanor, Felony, Probate and Eviction cases. There are two ways to search public Criminal records, though a fee must be paid before any records will be retrieved. You can request them by mail or in person at the Wake County Courthouse by stating the name of the party you would like searched. Computer records go back to 1982 for Criminal cases and 1988 for Civil.
