Arkansas Administrative Office of Courts
Administrative Office of Courts
Arkansas court records are kept by the Arkansas Administrative Office of Courts. The office makes available opinions for the supreme and appeals courts, as well as case records, information on involved parties, case histories, and judgments for the circuit courts. District and municipal courts (which handle misdemeanors, preliminary felonies, and small claims cases) do not have information available through the AOC. Full public court records are available in person, and limited information is available online.
Arkansas Court Record Availability
There is no statewide access to county court records from this office. Except for certain online research capabilities, all court record access must be done at the local level.
Access to Arkansas Court Records
The Arkansas Administrative Office of Courts makes case information available online for the supreme and appeals courts as well as some of the circuit courts. Supreme and appeals court opinions are available for browsing and searching via their own system. The CourtConnect system has party information, case histories, and judgments available for six counties and partial information available for most of the rest of the counties. Some of the district and city courts maintain their own online systems.
Case information is available online free of charge for the supreme and appellate courts as well as some of the circuit courts, which handle both civil and criminal cases.
The supreme and appeals courts provide opinions dating back to 1996. No precise date information is available for CourtConnect, though it contains cases dating back to the 1950s.
