  • I can't sign in to my account.

    To sign in, use the email address and password you set during your first purchase. If you've forgotten your password, please enter your email address on the Password Reset page. You’ll receive an email with your password reminder and sign in instructions.

  • I forgot my password.

    If you've forgotten your password, please enter your email address on the Password Reset page. Enter the email address you used when creating your account and click "Reset Password". We'll send you an email with instructions on how to reset your password.

  • How do I change my login credentials?

    You can change your email and password from the Your Account page once you have signed in. Update your information and click the "Update" button to lock in your new info.

  • I want to cancel my 7-day free trial membership or change billing options.

    To cancel a free trial membership, go to the Account Settings page once you have signed in to your account. Under the Subscriptions section, click the link to show a list of your active subscriptions. Select the 7-day free trial membership and complete the cancellation form to stop future membership payments. If you wish to keep your free trial but would like to cancel a different subscription, please follow the above steps and select the appropriate subscription you would like to cancel.

  • How do I know my purchase is secure?

    Your purchase details are encrypted on 128-bit SSL. Verisign verifies our checkout daily. Our customer records are 100% confidential and never added to our search database.

  • How will the charge appear on my credit card statement?

    Membership payment will appear on your bank statement as "INF*" along with our toll-free customer support number.

  • I'm already a member but sometimes PeopleSmart asks for additional payment. Why?

    PeopleSmart membership includes a host of unlimited search tools, including people search, email and social networking searches, landline and listed number searches, and public record reports. Certain search services are sold separately, like background checks, reverse cell phone searches and some premium contact reports.

  • I want to unsubscribe from your email list.

    If you no longer wish to receive emails from PeopleSmart, simply click the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any commercial message you receive from us. Your unsubscribe request will be honored immediately. Please note that you may still receive account and billing notices from us, if applicable. If the unsubscribe link in a message isn't working, please click here to file a support ticket with us and a support technician will get it fixed.

  • How do I contact PeopleSmart or talk with a real live person on the phone?

    Our dedicated support team is available Monday through Friday, 6AM - 7PM CST, Saturday 7AM - 6PM CST, and Sunday 8AM - 6PM CST. The phone number is 1-888-813-0008. As we’re sure you’ve experienced in the past, call volume can make for some phone waiting time, but we promise to be as quick as can be.   • How many searches can I submit?

    You can conduct an unlimited number of searches during your membership term, as outlined in our Terms of Service. Bulk searches, shared logins, and automated search tools are strictly prohibited. Premium contact information, cell phone and unlisted number lookups, and background reports are sold separately.

  • How do I opt-out my information from searches?

    We take your privacy very seriously. To be removed from our directory, please use our simple opt-out request form.

  • What is a "reverse" email or phone search?

    A “reverse lookup” is a special kind of search where you’re able to locate a person even if you only know a little bit about them. With PeopleSmart you can search by email address, street address, or phone number and find information about the owner.

  • If my search result is a public record, why do I have to pay for it?

    As anyone who’s ever been to their local Department of Motor Vehicles or other government office can attest, just because a piece of information is in the public record does not mean that it’s convenient to access. In fact, most public records are difficult to track down. PeopleSmart specializes in aggregating contact databases and making them available to you via our industry-lead, easy-to-use search function. We pull this information from a diverse array of sources, including county courts, state databases, and hundreds of municipal websites.

  • What is the difference between a report and membership?

    A report shows you the results for a specific query (e.g. a specific person’s contact information). Membership gives you unlimited access to our public records database - not just one search - and therefore is a much better bargain if you think you’ll conduct more than a few searches per year. Please keep in mind that background reports, cell phone and unlisted number lookups, and certain contact information searches cost additional money and are NOT available in an unlimited fashion.

  • Are membership fees recurring or one-time?

    Where indicated, membership fees are recurring and will automatically renew upon expiration at the same price and term. We will send you an email reminder 30 days before your membership renews. To change your billing schedules, please contact us.

  • What does a membership include?

    As a member of PeopleSmart, you can:

    • Run unlimited people searches to find up-to-date phone numbers and addresses.
    • Find out who's calling you with unlimited landline and listed phone lookups.
    • Search our database of over 100,000,000 public and vital records.

    Background reports, cell phone and unlisted number lookups, and certain contact information reports are sold separately and NOT available on an unlimited basis. Background reports do not always include criminal information (since not everyone has a criminal record), but please note you will still be charged since we incur per-search fees from our data suppliers.

  • Why should I link my social networks with PeopleSmart?

    When you sign-in with Facebook, LinkedIn, or Twitter, your search results will expand to include your friends and associates from each social network, significantly enhancing your search results.

    Because your privacy is our top concern, the people in your social network are never notified.

  • What happens if I don't find what I am searching for?

    If you are unable to find the record you are searching for we'll be happy to help you on your quest. Simply contact us and our Member Support team will assist you in finding that record. If they aren’t able to find it, we'll make things right. Your satisfaction is 100% guaranteed.
